Stella A. Furr, Crawfordsville and formerly of Waynetown died 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at Williamsburg Nursing Home, Crawfordsville.  Mrs. Furr was a homemaker and school cook at Sommer Elementary School.  She was a member of Waynetown Christian Church. She graduated from Attica HS and had previously attended Hillsboro schools.  She was born Feb 24, 1928 in Waynetown to George and Gladys (Ammerman) Hughes. She married William "Bill" H. Furr March 2, 1946 at Covingyton. During her marriage, she lived in Waynetown from 1950-2005.  Her husband survives. Also surviving are son Dennis (Paula) Furr, Crawfordsville; daughter, Dawn Welker, Memphis, Tenn; two grandsons and one granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one infant brother. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Cremation will follow services and a private family burial of the ashes will take place at a later date. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big FOur Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
